North Central Wisconsin’s largest quilt shop located in Antigo, WI will be closing, according to the store’s owner, Marla Arndt. It has been 25 years since The Cutting Edge was opened in 1990 in a small downtown 1,500 square foot store. The store expanded in 1992 into a larger 14,000 square foot building, and then in 2003, expanded with a satellite store in the Weston area.
Marla has decided to retire. “In 2011, we started the retirement process by closing the Weston location and now we are starting to liquidate the Antigo location. It has been a fun business over the years, with many great customers and friends.”
All of the merchandise must be sold, including Husqvarna Viking and Brother sewing machines and accessories, software, thousands of fabric bolts, yarn, books, embroideries, notions and much more. After the store is liquidated, they will continue to hold classes and events from their Sewing Studio and Event Center.
