Professor Ankur Desai, an Associate Professor at the UW Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, will be coming for an evening program on the impact of climate change on the Northwoods. Prof. Desai has been studying how ecosystems respond to climate variability & how the climate responds to ecological patterns & processes for a number of years in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

2nd Annual Learn-to-Fish Muskies October 24th 9am Johnnie’s Resort, 6995 Potawatomi Trail Rd., Laona. This event is open to individuals 16 yrs. and up, with little or no musky fishing experience. The event will start with classroom lessons aimed toward musky identification, biology & fishing techniques. Then participants will hit the water with local fishing volunteers for a chance to catch a musky. Participants will be provided with all the necessary equipment, but must possess a valid WI fishing license.
