Sunday, February 28th
9:17 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that a subject was threatening a doctor in the emergency room of the hospital. The subject was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
Saturday, February 27th
9:22 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that an orange late model Camaro was leaving an area business on Hwy. 64 with a small child sitting on the passenger’s lap, instead of a car seat. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
5:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on 10th Avenue that a stray German shepherd jumped in her car while she was parked. Officers then received a call from a female on Sunset Drive reporting her dog missing. She was out of town, but she told officers that her son would head over and get the dog. Officers were unable to get the dog out of the car. The dog tried biting him. There was damage to the vehicle by the dog, one person was bitten and went to the hospital. A statement was taken.
4:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Badger Avenue. Male driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
12:17 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at E. 5th Avenue and Langlade Road. Male driver was issued written a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Friday, February 26th
9:33 AM Officers received a visit at the Safety Building from a male subject reporting that an anonymous witness left a note on his windshield stating that someone struck his truck while it was parked in the lot of an establishment on 5th Avenue. Officers are investigating.
8:06 AM Officers received a call from a female subject reporting that on 2/25/16, between 8 AM and 5:10 PM her 2012 black Buick Regal was parked in a public lot near an area business on Superior Street. Someone hit her car causing damage to the rear bumper on the driver’s side and large scrapes, white in color. The female was given an incident number and she will notify her insurance company.
Thursday, February 25th
6:49 PM Officers responded to a call from the owner of an area business on Hwy. 45 reporting that a male subject came into her business stating that he was from a company selling advertising spots on the placements of an area restaurant. The owner signed a contract on the male subject’s phone and he stated that he would send her an email copy right away. She did not receive an email. The male subject was given $100 cash. The business owner later called the company that the male subject said that he represented. They told her that they did not have anyone in the area selling ad spots. The business owner gave officers a description of the male and said that she had a signed receipt from the male subject that she would drop off at the Safety Building. Officers talked to several businesses advising them of the scam. Officers later found and identified a suspect.
4:00 PM Officers received a call from an employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 that a 2013 Chrysler 200 car was taken for a test drive by a female subject from Lakewood, with the intent of finishing the paperwork to purchase the vehicle on 1/18/16. The female subject has not returned with the vehicle or to sign the paperwork. Therefore, the business reported the vehicle stolen at that time.
5:16 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at W. 5th Avenue & Western Avenue. The male driver was cited for speed.
3:08 AM Officers received a call from an employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 that an elderly male subject was in the store and seemed confused. The employee was not sure if the male subject was experiencing a medical problem or something else. The Antigo Fire Department was dispatched and took over.
Wednesday, February 24th
4:16 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that a vehicle was driving all over the road switching lanes and cutting people off. The male caller had to avoid the vehicle or he would have gotten hit. Officers talked to the male driver of the vehicle about the incident. The male subject felt he was a good driver. The subject had no recent accidents and officers had received no prior complaints.
1:58 PM Officers received a call from a male subject on Clermont Street reporting that someone entered his enclosed snowmobile trailer that was parked outside and stole his tools.
10:44 AM Officers responded to call from a male employee at an area business on Edison Street reporting that several of their vehicles were broken into. Officers are investigating.
6:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Field Street. Female drive was issued a citation for operating without a license, 2nd offense.
3:32 AM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that his gold Trailblazer was stolen from an area business on 5th Avenue. The male subject was driving back to Wausau and had left the keys in the vehicle for a friend to drive home. Officers advised the male to stop at the Safety Building and speak with an officer. The male subject never came to the Safety Building. At 6:33 AM officers received a teletype from the Shawano County Sherriff’s Department requesting a phone number for the male subject who had called earlier. His vehicle was found in Shawano County rolled over and unoccupied. The Shawano County deputy advised officers that the male subject’s vehicle went off the road and rolled over on Hwy. 45 just south of Aniwa. The car struck a camper. Officers made contact with the owner of the camper. Officers were unable to make contact with the male owner of the Trailblazer. Officers had the vehicle towed.
12:56 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and S. Dorr Street. Male driver was cited for failure to dim his lights and driver & passenger for failure to fasten their seat belts.
Tuesday, February 23rd
5:49 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Street. Male driver was issued a 10 correction for registration and a citation for seat belt.
1:06 PM Officers received a call from a female on Charlotte Street reporting that on 2/17/16 a male subject approached her at an area business on Hwy. 64, asking about her boots. The female then left and went to another business on Hwy. 64. The male subject followed her. The female then went home. While unloading items from her vehicle, the male subject showed up, asking her personal questions. She went inside her home and locked the door. Then, on 2/18/16, the female notice fresh foot prints leading up to her bedroom window. The male subject was about 50 years old, about 6 ft. tall, and had a beard. He was driving an older green truck.
11:13 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at S. Superior Street and Forrest Avenue. Property damage only. Report was made.
6:11 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. Male driver was issued citations for speed and no proof of insurance.
Monday, February 22th
8:51 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Farwell Avenue. Male driver was issued a written warning for an inadequate muffler.
8:37 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Street. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.
5:26 PM Officers received a report at the Safety Building from a male subject on Clermont Street that he has fraudulent charges on his credit card.
4:19 PM Officers responded to a report of a male subject shooting what the male caller believed to be a BB gun at a small dog, belonging to another neighbor, in his yard. Officers found out that it was an unloaded air soft pistol that the male subject used to scare the dog away with the noise. Officers warned the male subject about the city ordinance, and told him to get along with his neighbors. There were no injuries to the dog.
1:26 PM Officers received a report from a female employee at an area school on 6th Avenue that two laptop computers are missing.
