Monday, March 21st
10:18 AM A female came to the Safety Building to report that she either lost her purse or it was stolen on 3/19/16. She had been to two area businesses on Park Street and Hwy. 64. She was unsure exactly when she saw her purse last. It was a black purse containing a checkbook, debit card & approximately $40 plus change.
5:10 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue & Western Road. The male driver was cited for speed.
8:20 PM Officer stopped a vehicle at Field Street and 7th Avenue. The male driver was issued a citation for driving after revocation, 2nd offense.
Tuesday, March 22nd
12:28 AM Officers stopped a vehicle. Female driver was issued a citation for an expired registration.
11:10 AM Officers received a complaint from an employee of the City of Antigo that two trees in the boulevard were cut around the base, with what appeared to be a chainsaw.
6:27 PM Officers received a call from a establishment on Clermont Street reporting that a female subject was just beat up behind the building by two individuals. She did not need medical attention, but was very upset. She was now inside the building.
Wednesday, March 23rd
4:41 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Morse Street. The driver was issued a citation for operating without a license.
7:59 AM Officers received a report that a female subject living on Hogan Street found a dog huddled behind her garbage can, shivering. The female’s father brought the dog to the Safety Building. Officers took the dog to the Humane Society.
3:10 PM Officers responded to a report of a bag full of syringes by a storage shed off of Morse Street. Officers picked up the bag of syringes and disposed of them at the Safety Building.
3:40 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Elm Street. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.
Thursday, March 24th
8:12 AM Officers responded to a report from the Public Works Department that one of their trucks struck a pole on Edison Street between 1st & 2nd Avenue. An accident report was made.
9:13 AM Officers received a complaint from an area business on 6th Avenue, regarding some forged checks.
12:44 PM Officers responded to a report that a mail carrier was unable to deliver mail to an area apartment building because one of the residents was out shoveling snow with a loose dog. When the resident was asked to secure the dog so that the mail carrier could deliver the mail, the person refused. The dog was a Staffordshire bull terrier. It was not aggressive. Officers sent an abatement letter to remove the dog from the city.
1:39 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he was rear-ended while in the parking lot of an area business on 5th Avenue.
2:22 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that a man was possibly trying to enter her home. He pounded hard on the front door, enough to slightly push it in, then he walked around to the back door. The female subject peeked out the window and noticed the male rubbing his hand above the door frame, as if he was looking for a key. The man then noticed her through the window, gave her a scary look, and then said that he was wondering if he could shovel her driveway. But he did not have a shovel with him. The male then left westbound on 6th Avenue. The woman described the male as scraggly looking with red longer hair, in his late teens or early twenties. Officers told the female to let them know if she sees this man again.
5:04 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a citation for speed.
7:13 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Clermont Street. The driver was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
9:55 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and 4th Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for speed.
Friday, March 25th
12:15 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Hudson Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to have a license.
2:01 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Street. The driver was given a 5 day correction notice for an expired registration.
3:23 AM An officer was walking in downtown area. The entire time, one dog could be heard barking and one dog was whining, west of the downtown area. The officer located the two dogs outside a residence on Deleglise Street. The officers made contact with the homeowner and advised him that it was 11 degrees outside and his dogs wanted to come inside. The homeowner said that he had let the dogs out a couple of hours ago, and forgot to let them back in. The officer advised the owner of the barking dog ordinance.
8:52 AM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report fraudulent charges on his credit card.
10:52 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male subject reporting that he just turned the corner at S. Superior Street and Birch Street, didn’t check his blind spot, and struck another vehicle. The male caller was in a Pontiac vibe, the other vehicle was a Ford truck. There were no injuries. A voluntary accident report was filed. The male caller was cited for unsafe lane deviation.
12:36 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a male subject stopped and got gas on 3/21/16 in the amount of $25. The male claimed that he didn’t have his wallet and promised to come back and pay. Several days later and after several phone calls, the male subject was warned to have the gas paid for by 3/25/16 at 11am. As of 12:36pm, the male had not returned to pay for the gas. Officers are following up.
2:40 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Field Street requesting officers for a female subject sitting on the front steps of the house, refusing to leave. The female caller did not want the female subject there, due to past issues of the subject stabbing her boyfriend. The female subject did leave on her own. It caused no other disturbance.
2:50 PM Officers responded to a report of an older silver Buick Regal sedan occupied by two people, parked behind a business on Edison Street. They appeared to be up to something suspicious. Officers spoke with the subjects and sent them on their way.
7:11 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Clermont Street and Pierce Avenue. The driver was arrested on an Oneida County Warrant and was issued a citation for operating without a license.
Saturday, March 26th
12:58 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 2nd Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was issued a citation for no proof of insurance and given a 10 day correction notice for registration.
8:39 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Road and Mary Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.
4:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. The driver was issued a seat belt ticket and was given a 10 day written warning for no insurance. Officers were given consent to search the vehicle and turned up several controlled prescription substances. The driver and passenger did not have proof of prescription. Officers followed subjects to their residence and they provided proof of prescription.
5:21 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Clermont Street. Three subjects were arrested. One on a probation hold, the other two on drug charges. An eight month old baby was in the car. A Department of Social Services intake worker was called. Arrangements were made for the baby.
6:26 PM Officers received a report of a syringe lying in a yard on 5th Avenue.
8:58 PM Officers were at an area business on Edison Street. Two subjects were arrested on probation violations. One subject had additional drug charges.
Sunday, March 27th
2:28 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Cedar Street. The driver was arrested for operating after revocation and drug charges.
8:57 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.
9:19 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road and Kaplanek Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.
1:26 PM Officers responded to a report of some kids shooting BB guns on Deleglise Street. Officers warned the kids about shooting in the city The guns were air soft guns. The mother was also warned.
2:38 PM Officers responded to a report of a tan Chevy Cruze vehicle parked in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64 with three small children in the car. The vehicle was running. Officers spoke with the mother about leaving the children unattended and the complaint was forwarded to the Department of Social Services.
Monday, March 28th
1:04 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior and Cedar Street. The male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana, 2nd offense.
8:08 AM Officers received a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting an abandoned bicycle in front of the building for over a week. It is a women’s Giant brand 10 speed. Red, white, and black in color.
