Slow Traffic Keep Right:
While traveling on Fifth Avenue, Superior Street, and Neva Road in the City of Antigo, all of which have four lanes, it is important to remember that slower traffic must operate in the right hand lane. Wisconsin state statute 346.05 states that upon all roadways of sufficient width the operator of a vehicle shall drive on the right half of the roadway. The law is clear, unless you as the driver are intending on making a left turn, the right lane is closed, you are passing a vehicle in the right lane, or you are operating a vehicle that is too large to be operated in the right lane, you should always be operating your vehicle in the right lane. This keeps traffic moving safely and efficiently resulting in fewer crashes.
