Walter Arthur Woiten died June 1, 2016 at his home outside of Antigo at the age of 82.
He was born June 25, 1933 in Torrington, CT, son of the late Arthur and Anna (Darosz) Woiten. He married Elizabeth McCoy on April 8, 1961, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 1991.
Mr. Woiten served in the US Army in Korea. He then joined the US Air Force, and served until retiring in 1974 as a Tech Sergeant. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
He worked for the City of Antigo in the Park and Recreation Department and the Water Department until his retirement.
Survivors include 3 children, Walter (Darleen) Woiten, Jr. of Tomahawk, William Woiten of Sparta, and Elizabeth M. (Dr. Warren) Perger of Houghton, MI.
A private family graveside service will take place at Three Lakes Town Cemetery.
