City of Antigo Fireworks Display – Tuesday, July 4th Dusk Antigo High School, 1900 Tenth Avenue, Antigo. After you have enjoyed the Fourth of July parade, get ready to enjoy the fireworks! Parking is along Western Avenue, Sunset Drive, & Tenth Avenue. There is also parking available in the high school parking lots. You can tune in to WATK 900 AM to hear patriotic music to accompany the festivities.

1st Annual Forest County Festival – Friday, June 30th-Sunday, July 2nd International Off-Road Raceway, 10104 Old Hwy 8 Rd., Crandon. All 3 days will be jam packed with fun things to do: tractor pulls & school bus races, kid’s games & talent show, non-stop carnival rides, musical entertainment and fireworks on the track on Saturday night. Admission, carnival rides and select games will be free of charge for Forest County residents. Nominal fees will be charged for parking, food and souvenirs.

Lake Metonga Boat Parade and Summer Cookout – Sunday, July 2nd 1pm Boat Parade, 2pm Summer Cookout. Beachside Bar & Grill, 4163 East Lakeview Street, Crandon. The Lake Metonga Association Annual Picnic will start off with a Boat Parade at 1pm. All decorated entries are to meet in front of the Beachside Bar & Grill at the South end of Lake Metonga. Our boat parade marshal will give each entrant a numbered card and entry form. The boats will parade counter-clockwise around the Lake past the Judge’s Stand. The cookout will begin at 2pm at the Beachside Bar & Grill. Food and beverages will be prepared by Jason of Beachside Bar & Grill. The only cost will be a $5 wrist band. Come and enjoy the good food & drink! Winners for the Boat Parade will be announced after all participants and judges return to Beachside. Stay after the picnic and enjoy the band Sunday evening provided by Beachside Bar & Grill.

4th of July in Minocqua – July 4th 3-10pm Downtown, Minocqua. The festivities begin with the kiddie parade at 3:45pm pre-registration is not required, but children should gather on the sidewalks near Redman Realty (corner of Park Street West and Hwy. 51 South) by 3:15pm. The main parade starts at 4pm. Watch the horses, floats, fire trucks, dancers, antique automobiles along with marching bands pass by. After the parade, head to Torpy Park for a free musical performance by the Lakeland Community Concert Band at 5:30pm. The Min-Aqua Bats will perform a special show for the July 4th crowd beginning at 7pm at the Aqua Bowl on Lake Minocqua. Come a little early to watch the Boat Parade pass by the Aqua Bowl at 6:15pm. After watching the parade & the water ski show, head to your favorite viewing area on land or water & settle in for the remainder of the night.
