End of Summer Extravaganza August 18th Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County, 411 Superior St., Antigo. Sizzlin’ Summer Camp is drawing to a close. The Extravaganza is our annual celebration for all of the accomplishments of the summer. Come join the Shawano City-County Library as we observe the All American Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. The Library will provide safe viewing glasses to area residents. Glasses can be picked up Friday, August 18 from 8am-5pm & Saturday, August 19 from 9am-1pm until that allotment of glasses is given out. Additionally, an allotment of glasses will be reserved to be handed out at our event held on August 21. Glasses may be picked up for family members that reside in your household. Unfortunately, the giveaway is not intended for groups or organizations. The eclipse begins at 11:52am in our area with peak viewing at 1:15pm. The eclipse will be completed at 2:37pm. Stop in to see our displays and view the NASA Edge Mega-cast on our large, flat screen TV located at the checkout desk on the main level. At 12:45pm we will offer bubble blowing and shadow tracing for the children in a roped off area of the parking lot. Popsicles for all! Don’t forget to apply sunscreen before you come.
