ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, August 7th
4:07 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Kelly Street. The male driver was arrested on a Marathon County warrant for failure to appear.
Tuesday, August 8th
9:53 PM Officers were out with a group of people at 4th Avenue and Dorr Street trying to assist an extremely intoxicated male subject. Officers gave the male subject a ride home.
Wednesday, August 9th
5:48 PM Officers responded to a call from a business on Memory Lane reporting that while cleaning rooms, they witnessed a female subject jump out of a first floor window and take off in a tan car. The trunk of the vehicle was partially open. Items from the lobby were on the bed and batteries had been taken out of the phones. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers received a second call from the business reporting that another female subject had checked in and she could be linked to the earlier incident. Also, security video showed that the first female subject and a male subject with short black hair had come into the business several times that day and the female subject had been trying the doors to rooms to see if they would open. The caller could not find that anything was stolen, but two window screens and an air conditioner were damaged. The female subject was referred for trespassing and criminal damage.
8:29 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her parents had some items stolen out of the back of their pickup truck while it were parked at an area business around 9:00 PM on 8/7/17. The items stolen included a pig feeder, drywall, and some insulation.
8:34 PM Officers responded to a call from a female employee of an area business on Dorr Street reporting that a Mexican male subject was being aggressive. The male subject was described as wearing a plaid shirt, a black hat and black pants. Officers found out that the male was being very animated as he had his wallet stolen. He spoke no English. Officers found out that the subject had roughly $1,200 when he went out that night. They were also able to get a description of the male suspect. Officers located the male suspect at another area business and he was taken into custody on warrants from the Shawano and Marathon County Sheriff offices. The male subject’s wallet was found after a search of the male suspect’s person. The wallet and money were returned to the male subject.
Thursday, August 10th
1:17 AM Officers stopped vehicle for at Neva Road and Ackley Street. The male driver from West Allis was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. He was also cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unreasonable & imprudent speed.
Friday, August 11th
7:35 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her sixteen year old daughter came home from an area business on Hwy. 64 and had told her that around 4:30 PM, an approximately forty year old male subject from India followed her around the business. The male subject was described as being about 5’ 5” tall. He asked the girl her age, what she was doing and offered her assistance with her shopping. The juvenile female told officers that the male subject was “weird.” Officers were going to view the store video.
8:23 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a very intoxicated male subject at an area business on 4th Avenue. The male subject’s keys had been taken away from him. He was passed out in the passenger side seat of his vehicle. Officers gave the male subject a ride to his residence.
Saturday, August 12th
2:35 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Deliglise Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. He was also cited for operating without a license, 1st offense and an improper left turn.
8:40 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that they had a male subject on video stealing lottery tickets the night before. They told officers that the video showed the male taking sixteen lottery tickets, worth $20 a piece, while a female subject distracted the clerk. The incident occurred at about 9:34 PM on 8/11/17. The total loss was $320. The subjects drove a grayish SUV type vehicle. The loss had already been reported to lottery officials. The subjects were identified. Officers checked their residence and a relative’s address. Officers were going to continue to attempt to locate the male and female subjects.
Sunday, August 13th
3:41 AM While officers were walking their beat on Edison Street, a vehicle was leaving an area business traveling the wrong way through the alley. Officers shined a flashlight into the vehicle and signaled the subjects to stop. The vehicle slowed down and then drove right past the officers. The vehicle then stopped and as officers approached, it took off traveling the wrong way. It then traveled at a high rate of speed down Edison Street. Officers got the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers went to the house of the registered owner of the vehicle. The male subject was cited for failure to stop when signaled by officers, failure to obey a traffic sign and unnecessary acceleration.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, August 10th
12:50 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a female subject that was all over the road and then went into the ditch. The caller told officers that he went to check on the vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle. He said that the female driver seemed sleepy when he approached and she didn’t want to answer any questions. He did not smell any alcohol. The caller said that the female subject left east bound on Hwy. 64. Officers stopped the vehicle at Bissell Street and Church Street in White Lake. The female subject was extremely upset and confrontational with officers. She also denied driving into the ditch. The female was not intoxicated.
3:29 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Hwy. 55 reporting a gas drive off of $23.50 that occurred the day before in the afternoon. The caller did not know the color or make of the vehicle. He gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers were advised.
Saturday, August 12th
1:42 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Cty. M, reporting that an intoxicated female subject at the residence was trying to leave with her children and she was trying to stop her. Officers arrested the female subject for disorderly conduct and she was transported to Corrections.
8:00 PM Officers responded to a call from an Antigo Fire Department EMT at the fairgrounds on Neva Road requesting an officer to help with a male subject that was causing a problem. The male subject had been observed wandering around the area with a pocket knife in his hand with the blade out and exposed. The male subject was talking incoherently and made some statements that he wanted to die by law enforcement. The subject was restrained and his knife was taken away. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting and a probation hold.
Sunday, August 13th
1:34 PM Officers responded to several calls reporting an elderly female going into the ditch at Cty. Rd. HH and Brookside Road. The female subject told officers that she was northbound on Cty. Rd. HH and must of fallen asleep. When she woke up, she was in the southbound lane. She then overcorrected and ended up in the ditch. The vehicle was towed and a state report was completed.
6:31 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a passerby reporting a yellow car in the ditch at Hwy. 45 and Hwy. 47. The caller told officers that several people were around the car. No one appeared to be injured. A road sign was damaged. The highway department was notified. The female driver was cited for failure to keep the vehicle under control and having no insurance.
8:50 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Langlade Road. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Tuesday, August 15th
11:50 PM Officers were out with a vehicle on Hwy. 45. A male subject was arrested on a probation hold for drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule II narcotics and bail jumping. He was also cited for underage alcohol and possession of alcohol. A female subject was cited for underage alcohol. A second male subject was cited for tobacco use. A third male subject was referred for obstructing and was cited for failure to prevent underage drinking.
