The Varsity Boys Chargers bounced back Friday night from some recent struggles against Almond-Bancroft and Shiocton, both of which were losses for Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
The team maintained their composure in the home game after coming out of the gates ice cold from the floor. Bonduel jumped on top 8-0, but the boys didn’t get down, and came back with a 12-0 run to take the lead.
“We heated up in the 2nd half and starting knocking down our open 3’s. Groshek and Kapitz got hot at the same time and it sparked us and we never looked back. Kody Szews did a nice job at the FT line tonight and we played defense as a unit,” said Coach Lon Ebel.
The final score of Friday’s game was 64-46. The boys face Iola at home on Tuesday.
