Joyce Duchac passed away peacefully Friday, January 26, 2018 with the love of her life David and son Ted by her side at Care Partners Assisted Living, Antigo, WI. Joyce Charlotte Petters was born February 23, 1927 to Paul and Ella Petters in Appleton, WI. Toward the end of WWII she met C. David Duchac upon his return from the Army Air Corps in Antigo, WI. They fell in love and were wed December 30, 1947. They lived in Oshkosh after their marriage and moved back to Antigo, WI in 1950. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Bass Lake Country Club. She also enjoyed traveling and spending winters with David in AZ and FLA after David’s retirement. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Ella Petters, her brother Eugene (Bernice) Petters and son-in-law Michael Lutz.
She is survived by her husband C. David, residing at Care Partners Assisted Living, four children, Lee (Bonnie) of Wisconsin Rapids, Ann Decker of Jacksonville, FLA, Lynn Lutz of Rochester, MN, and Ted (Deb) of Schofield, WI. Grandchildren: Joel (Jenny) Rochester, MN, Sarah Dunn (Nathan) Rochester, MN, Bekah Rochester, MN, Bradley (Jessica) Edmond, OK, Tracy Slusser (Adam) Redwood City, CA, Jacquelyn Verona, WI, Christopher (Ashley) Camp Lejume, NC, Amy Davis (Andrew) Charlotte, NC, and six great grandchildren (Lilly & Ethan Dunn, Ivy and Jade Slusser, Olivia Duchac and Elise Decker).
Joyce will be cremated and no service or funeral will be held according to her wishes.
