Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 5/7/18
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, April 23rd
3:19 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Weed Street. Two female subjects and a male subject were referred for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
3:36 PM Officers responded to several reports of an accident at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. There were no injuries.
Tuesday, April 24th
11:14 AM Officers were at a residence on 5th Avenue. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
5:39 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that a fake check was used to pay for merchandise at an area business on Hwy. 64. The amount of the check was $245.55. The check had come back as no account found. The caller told officers that they were also working with the Marathon County Sheriff’s office and the Everest Metro Police Department who had the name of a possible suspect. Officers were investigating.
9:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a male subject had followed them around an area business on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that it had occurred around 8:30 PM. The male was described as older, with balding white hair. The female had already reported the incident to the business. Officers went to the business and checked around. They were unable to locate the male subject.
Wednesday, April 25th
1:05 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Graham Avenue. A male subject was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
5:15 PM Officers responded to a call from a female home health nurse reporting the theft of some morphine and Percocet from an apartment on Charlotte Court. The caller told officers that they had done a narcotic count because of some suspicious people in the apartment. She gave officers the name of a possible female suspect. Officers spoke with the female suspect and searched her vehicle and bedroom. Nothing was located. This female gave officers the name of another possible suspect. Officers were investigating.
10:45 PM Officers responded to two 911 calls reporting that a vehicle struck a pole at Langlade Road and 2nd Avenue. The female driver was not hurt and denied medical treatment. The vehicle was towed. The female told officers that she was looking at her phone when she hit the pole. She also admitted to officers that she had been drinking. Officers performed a standardized field sobriety test. The female was not intoxicated. She was cited for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.
Thursday, April 26th
1:03 PM Officers responded to a call from an area banking institution on 5th Avenue reporting that they had a forged check, and when they confronted the female suspect about it, she left the building. The business gave officers the name of the female suspect.
Friday, April 27th
1:50 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kaplanek Avenue. The male driver was cited for an expired registration. The male passenger was arrested for possession of Schedule IV narcotics. He was transported to Corrections.
2:47 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that a female customer had her vehicle sideswiped while in their parking lot. The striking vehicle was described as a black GMC, possibly a Suburban. Officers were given the license plate number.
3:18 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident in the Antigo High School parking lot. There were no injuries.
7:50 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a male subject was on their property on Weed Street and they wanted him removed. A Department of Corrections hold was placed on the male subject and he was arrested for violating a no drink restriction.
10:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Neva Road. The male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, April 28th
2:31 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Forrest Avenue. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
1:28 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was following a light green car that was driving into oncoming traffic, southbound on Clermont Street near Mendlik Avenue. The vehicle then went onto Mendlik Avenue and then southbound on Edison Street. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers located the male subject at his residence on N. Superior Street. Officers were going to follow up with the male subject with a re-exam.
1:37 PM Officers responded to a call from an off duty officer reporting that a black Hyundai Sonata SD was swerving in its lane and was then in both lanes, northbound at S. Superior Street and Freiburger Avenue. The vehicle then turned into an area business on S. Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
2:31 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that a male subject had gotten $15 in gas at around 12:45 PM that day, but said that he didn’t have his wallet, so they allowed him to leave without paying if he promised to come back. He had not returned. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers found out that the vehicle had been listed as stolen by the Mosinee Police Department. The vehicle was described as a small, red car by the clerk with matched the Department of Transportation record of a red 2001 Dodge Stratus. The male driver was described as being skinny, with brown hair, a scruffy beard and in his 40s.
4:51 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Aurora Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, drug related. A female passenger was also arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sunday, April 29th
12:21 AM Officers were out with three female subjects at 8th Avenue and Clermont Street. Two of the females were cited for underage alcohol.
3:02 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Industrial Park Road. The male driver was given a 10 day written warning for a cracked or damaged windshield and no insurance. A male passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
2:41 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a stop sign at the Langlade Hospital by the crosswalk. The Street Department was notified.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, April 25th
3:35 PM Officers received a call from a male on Deer Trace reporting that it looked like someone had attempted to get into his garage. He told officers that a new door and frame had scratch marks on them. He requested an extra patrol.
Thursday, April 26th
2:15 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Charlotte Street and Prosser Place. The male driver was arrested on a probation hold per the Department of Corrections.
7:09 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Cty. Rd. X reporting that she had seen a small baggie with a red smiley face on it on the road and it appeared to have a crystal type substance in it. The caller told officers that it was located north of her residence on the west side of the road. Officers located a jewel baggie in the ditch. The substance tested positive for meth, .46 grams. It was logged for destruction.
Friday, April 27th
7:24 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. F and Eastview Drive. There was only minor damage to the rear bumper of one of the vehicles.
11:24 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on S. Superior Street. The female driver was cited for operating without a license and having no insurance. A male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant and a Department of Corrections warrant.
1:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kelly Street. A male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
Saturday, April 28th
3:37 PM Officers responded to a 911 call for a male subject who fell into a well behind an area business on S. Superior Street. The subject’s injuries were unknown by the caller who said that they were just told to call the police. Later that night, dispatch received a call from a female stating that her husband was the one who had fallen into the well. He was now experiencing back pain and having a hard time breathing. They were going to go the Emergency Room.
4:49 PM Officers received a call from a male reporting that a silver Chevy SUV was eastbound on Hwy. 64 at Cty. Rd. BB, crossing the centerline and entering the westbound lane. The vehicle then turned north on Clover Road. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. A female also stopped at the Safety Building and told officers that a grayish SUV nearly missed two vehicles as it parked at an area business. The male driver then got out, bought some beer, stumbled back to his vehicle and left northbound on Hwy. 45. She had taken a photo of the license plate. It was same vehicle as the earlier call.
Sunday, April 29th
12:08 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting what appeared to be an intoxicated driver, northbound on Hwy. 45 by Now Road. The caller told officers that the vehicle was speeding up and slowing down, swerving and crossing the centerline. The vehicle was described as a Ford pickup. Officers stopped the vehicle on Hwy. 45, south of Cty. Rd. G. The driver was not intoxicated.
Monday, April 30th
5:33 AM Officers responded to a call from the Highway Department reporting some sort of line down on Hwy. 64, east of Hwy. 55. The line was lying on the highway, across both lanes of traffic.
Tuesday, May 1st
3:16 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on Cty. Rd. B reporting that a female subject, full of blood, was at her house reporting that she was just in a car accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. B. The injured female told officers that one person was lying on the road and another person was stuck in the car. The vehicle appeared to have been traveling southbound on Hwy. 45 when it went off the right hand side of the road, just prior to the Cty. Rd. B intersection. At some point, the vehicle went airborne and impacted the ditch line, next to a culvert on Cty. Rd. B. The vehicle appeared to have rolled approximately 3 to 4 times as it cleared Cty. Rd. B and landed on all four wheels in the south ditch of Cty. Rd. B. The two female subjects were transported to Langlade Hospital. A male subject was transported via Medivac to the Wausau hospital from Langlade Hospital. The vehicle was towed.
