Arlen Panko, 67
Arlen Panko, of Pearson, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 67.
He was born April 25, 1951, son of the late Earl and Oral (Nedel) Panko. He married Judy (Proko) Gravitter on May 17, 2003 at the Eau Claire Dells in Marathon County.
Arlen was a graduate of Wittenberg High School. He was employed as a truck driver for Wausau Steel, and resided in the Wausau area for many years. He later moved to Rolling Stone Lake, where he worked as a real estate agent for the Northwoods Team of Century 21. He enjoyed attending Packer games, four wheeling, fishing, and hunting. He loved taking vacations, including hunting trips to the Western US with friends and family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Aaron (Amber) Panko of Green Bay; a stepson, Kevin Gravitter (Tera Powell) of Pearson; 2 grandchildren, Kendall and Hailey; 3 sisters, Laurel (James) Schumacher of Eland, Patricia (Ken) Beck of Bonners Ferry, ID, and Shirley (Larry) Muska of Eland; 2 brothers, Earl and Dwight Panko, both of Eland; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Panko.
A funeral service for Arlen will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Vicar Pam Werth officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Forest Home Cemetery in Wittenberg.
