For the Antigo Times
Happy Fourth of July everyone, and happy Summer. The Langlade County Senior Center has a busy month coming up. We will be taking a trip to Laona on Thursday, July 12 to ride the Lumberjack Steam Train and tour the camp. The cost will be $40 per person. The bus will leave the Refuge parking lot at 9:30am and return around 4pm. The trip is limited to 20 people. If you are interested in going, call the Center at 715-627-6632. The Center will be closed in the morning on that day, but cards will be played in the afternoon, starting at 1pm.
On Thursday, July 19, the Center will be serving a hot dog plate at Music In The Park, starting at 5:30pm. St. Mary and St. Hyacinth Church will be serving pie and ice cream. The Stone Soup Bros. Band will be playing for your entertainment. There will be no music at the Center on Friday, July 20.
On Friday, July 20, the Center will be serving brats at Lakeside from 10:30am to 2pm. Come and find out about the Center and bring some ideas for new projects.
On Tuesday, July 24, the Lunch Bunch will be having lunch at the M&L Truck Stop at 11:30am.
Mahjong will be played on Monday, July 9 and 23. It is a new game for us, so come and learn with us how to play.
