Leland Charles Buchda died June 28, 2018 at his home near White Lake. He was 82 years old.
He was born June 14, 1936 in Fox Lake, WI, son of the late Lyle and Inez (Waterworth) Buchda. He graduated from high school in Fox Lake, and then operated a farm in the area until his retirement to White Lake. In addition to farming, he was also employed as a fertilizer applicator for Double S.
Leland married Donna Richter on January 19, 1977 in Dodge County, WI and she survives.
He enjoyed spending time in the woods, especially hunting, fishing, making maple syrup, and cutting wood. He was a member of the White Lake ATV club, and was a lifelong John Deere fan.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include 2 daughters, Sue (Scott) Jordahl of California, and Lisa (Mike) Patterson of Iowa; a son, Chuck (Kathy) Buchda of Iowa; 2 stepdaughters, Debbie Pelot of Waupun, and Bonnie Bauer of Beaver Dam; 4 stepsons, Rick (Sandy) Apel of Beaver Dam, Todd (Jodi) Apel of Beaver Dam, Randy Apel of White Lake, and Terry Apel; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Vern Buchda; and a granddaughter.
A celebration of life gathering will take place on Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
