September 9, 2025

The early morning hours in Antigo began with an officer on patrol finding an open door at a local business at 1:00 AM on Neva Road and Century Avenue; the building was later secured. As the day progressed, a variety of calls kept officers busy. A traffic stop at 6:14 AM on South Superior Street at Hickory Street resulted in a written warning for speeding. Shortly after, at 6:45 AM, an officer was dispatched for school crossing duty at the intersection of Graham Avenue and Superior Street.

Later that morning, a harassment complaint was filed from a resident on Dorr Street regarding social media posts. An officer met with the individual at the Safety Building and advised them on the process of obtaining a restraining order. Meanwhile, a sum of money found at the Kwik Trip on Superior Street was turned into the police. In the afternoon, a call came in about an injured squirrel at 9th Avenue and Lincoln Street that a group of people were attempting to handle; an officer safely relocated the animal.

As evening descended, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Forrest Road where a male was heard yelling. The individuals involved were arguing over mowing the lawn and had separated before police arrival. Traffic enforcement continued with a stop at 5:03 PM at Superior and Irving Streets, leading to a written warning for both speed and having an open container of alcohol. Another traffic stop at the same intersection at 5:26 PM resulted in a correction notice for expired registration and no insurance. A civil complaint was also filed regarding property being removed against a court order on 9th Avenue. The day concluded with several more traffic stops, including a verbal warning for an improper turn at 4th Avenue and Superior Street and a written warning for a defective brake light at 10th Avenue and Superior Street.

September 10, 2025

The day began with a resident lockout call at 1:05 AM, where an officer was able to assist the individual in gaining entry to their home without damage. A few hours later, at 2:38 AM, a traffic stop on US 45 at Industrial Park Road resulted in a written warning for speeding. This was followed by another stop at 4:20 AM on State Road 64 and Hogan Street, where a driver received a written warning for a defective headlight.

At 6:39 AM, a citizen came to the Safety Building to report a scam involving calls about a loan taken out in their name; they were advised it was a scam as no personal information had been shared. School crossing duties were carried out at Graham Avenue and Superior Street starting at 6:45 AM. A property damage accident occurred at 12:04 PM at the intersection of Gruber Street and South Hudson Street when one vehicle backed into another. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Another vehicle lockout occurred, this time at the Kwik Trip on State Road 64 at 12:51 PM.

The afternoon saw a property damage accident at Neva Road and Ackley Street, where a driver was cited for inattentive driving and their vehicle was towed from the scene. At 3:40 PM, a probation hold request was made from the Probation and Parole office on Clermont Street, leading to an individual being taken into custody on a warrant. Later in the evening, at 7:13 PM, a retail theft was reported at Walmart, resulting in citations for two individuals for both the current and a previous incident. The day's activities wound down with a traffic stop at 10:53 PM on US 45 and Rusch Road, where a verbal warning was issued for a defective trailer brake light.

September 11, 2025

The early hours of September 11th were relatively quiet, with a bank deposit noted at the CoVantage Drive Thru at 12:01 AM. An accidental 911 call was received at 2:36 AM, but a callback confirmed there was no emergency. Sprinkler testing was reported at Johnson Electric Coil at 5:39 AM.

The morning's activities picked up with a citizen assist call at 6:41 AM where a fire alarm was malfunctioning; the fire department was called to assist non-emergently. School crossing duty at Graham Avenue and Superior Street began at 6:45 AM. A parking complaint was received at 7:54 AM regarding a vehicle parked in front of a stop sign at 1st Avenue and Edison Street, but an officer found the vehicle to be legally parked. Later, a minor property damage accident was reported in the CoVantage Credit Union parking lot at 9:46 AM.

In the afternoon, a disorderly conduct incident was reported at North Elementary at 3:34 PM. Two more disorderly conduct reports came in later in the day. A stolen bicycle was reported from the Food Pantry at 4:40 PM. The evening included a lockout assist at St. John's Catholic Church at 7:43 PM and an accidental 911 call from the Sleep Inn at 8:13 PM. A report of a vehicle driving on a walking trail at Kretz Park at 8:32 PM was investigated and found to be unsubstantiated.

September 12, 2025

The day started with an alarm call at 12:44 AM, which was determined to be secure. School crossing duties were scheduled for Graham Avenue and Superior Street from 7:10 AM to 8:00 AM. A two-vehicle property damage accident occurred at 8:33 AM at the intersection of Superior Street and 5th Avenue, requiring a tow truck.

Later in the day, a parking complaint was made at 1:52 PM at 4th Avenue and Lincoln Street regarding a vehicle that had been parked since a parking ban was lifted. A vehicle lockout was reported at Antigo Liquor and Tobacco on Neva Road at 1:50 PM. At 2:28 PM, a suspicious activity was reported. A 911 hang-up call from Chase Bank on 5th Avenue at 2:44 PM was found to be an accidental dial by an employee. A theft was reported at Walmart on State Road 64 at 4:41 PM, with the compliant individual in the office.

The evening brought a report of glass on the shoulder of Neva Road near Center Street at 7:51 PM; the street department was notified. At 8:54 PM, a traffic stop at South Superior Street and Cherry Street resulted in a verbal warning for speeding. Another traffic stop at 9:44 PM at South Superior Street and Maple Street led to a written warning for speed. The night concluded with a traffic stop at 11:29 PM at 4th Avenue and Superior Street, where a driver received a written warning for a defective brake light.

September 13, 2025

The early morning hours of September 13th saw officers respond to a significant road blockage at 5th Avenue and Superior Street at 12:24 AM, where traffic lights had been hit and were lying in the road. The street department was notified to address the hazard. A routine bank deposit was made at the CoVantage Drive Thru at 12:12 AM.

Later in the morning, at 7:49 AM, a citizen requested assistance at Rainbow Laundry on 5th Avenue due to a flooding washing machine; the owner was contacted. A fraud report was filed at the Safety Building at 9:49 AM by a citizen who came to the lobby. A distress alarm at 9:58 AM was found to be due to a low battery. At 10:26 AM, an item was found in the women's bathroom at the Kwik Trip on State Road 64 and was subsequently destroyed by an officer. An animal complaint was made at 11:23 AM regarding a dog panting inside a car at Trucks on Neva Road; the windows were slightly down.

The afternoon brought a traffic stop at 3:59 PM at Antigo Liquor and Tobacco on Neva Road, resulting in a written warning for speeding. A property damage accident with no injuries occurred at Walmart on State Road 64 at 4:22 PM. At 5:03 PM, a vehicle lockout was reported at Walmart. A civil complaint was handled at 6:26 PM, where an officer stood by while an individual retrieved belongings. Another lockout occurred at 7:17 PM. An accidental 911 hang-up call from Waukesha Bearings on Amron Avenue at 6:53 PM was attributed to a phone system reboot. The evening concluded with a report of verbal harassment at 9:01 PM, which was resolved after an officer spoke with both parties.

September 15, 2025

The day started with a suspicious activity report at 1:53 AM on Amron Avenue regarding a dump truck with its lights on. An officer discovered the parking lights had been left on and turned them off, finding nothing else out of place. A traffic stop at 5:48 AM on US 45 at Industrial Park Road resulted in a citation for operating while suspended and no insurance, along with a verbal warning for a defective headlight and failure to maintain the lane. School crossing duty at Graham Avenue and Superior Street was conducted from 7:10 AM to 8:00 AM.

The Antigo Middle School conducted a fire alarm drill around 8:00 AM. At 9:45 AM, a parking complaint was filed regarding a white four-door car that had been sitting at Fleet Farm on Neva Road for a month. An investigation into a fraud or identity theft case began at 10:53 AM on Field Street, where a person reported paying for work that was never completed. At 11:26 AM, a citizen came to the lobby to speak with an officer about a phone purchase.

In the afternoon, at 1:57 PM, a lockout was reported at the Department of Social Services on North Langlade Road. A prisoner transport from the Lincoln County Jail was conducted at 2:16 PM. At 5:21 PM, a report was received about an intoxicated individual who had been seen drinking in a truck. A 911 hang-up call from the Holiday Inn at 4:19 PM was attributed to phone issues at the hotel. Another 911 hang-up from McDonalds on Neva Road at 5:56 PM was due to an employee's phone going into SOS mode. A traffic stop at 6:11 PM in front of Anytime Fitness on Superior Street resulted in a written warning for speed.

September 16, 2025

The early morning of September 16th included a traffic stop at 1st Avenue and Superior Street at 5:16 AM, where a correction notice was issued for a registration violation. A welfare check was conducted at 6:21 AM after a person was reported to be walking outside and was found on the ground; they were helped up and transported to the hospital. School crossing duties took place at Superior Street and Graham Avenue starting at 7:17 AM.

Throughout the day, officers were involved in several follow-up investigations. A wallet was found on the side of the road at 11:20 AM, and an officer was requested to pick it up. A 911 hang-up call was received at 11:53 AM, but an employee at the location was unaware of any emergencies. An animal complaint came in at 1:52 PM about a dog being left outside without water; an officer spoke with the owner who addressed the issue. Another animal complaint at 12:40 PM involved a small brown dog that was lost and later seen running towards the skate park.

The evening brought a 911 hang-up call from Castle Park on Field Street at 4:35 PM, which was determined to be unfounded. Lockout assistance was provided at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 5:11 PM and again at 5:45 PM. A traffic stop at 7:22 PM at Superior Street and 8th Avenue resulted in a verbal warning for a defective taillamp. The night concluded with a business check at Rainbow Laundry at 11:51 PM, where individuals were asked to move along.

September 10, 2025

The day began in the early morning with a resident on County Road G reporting their two dogs, a shepherd mix and a black lab both wearing lighted collars, had gone missing around 1:30 AM; thankfully, the dogs were located and returned later that morning. At 7:39 AM, a traffic complaint came in from the intersection of County Road TT and County Road A regarding a smaller gold car that had driven past a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing on two occasions. Later in the afternoon, at 1:15 PM, a call concerning DNR matters was received about a hawk caught in a power line on County Road AA. A property damage accident involving a vehicle and a backhoe occurred at Neva Road and Ackley Street shortly after, at 1:27 PM. The evening saw a couple of traffic stops, one at 9:12 PM at US 45 and Knight Road, resulting in a verbal warning for a defective headlight and no insurance, and another at 10:51 PM on County Road C at Franc Road for speeding.

September 11, 2025

Just before 6:00 AM, a suspicious maroon suburban was reported at the corner of Old 26 Road and West Bear Lake Road; a deputy made contact and found the driver was simply waiting to pick up a friend. A 911 hang-up call came in at 1:15 PM from State Road 55, which was determined to be accidental due to phone issues. At 4:52 PM, a civil complaint was registered from a residence on School Street in White Lake from an individual requesting assistance in retrieving belongings from an ex-partner. Later, an animal complaint was received at 5:50 PM after a vehicle struck a deer on State Road 17 at Parrish Drive; the deer was still alive in the roadway and had to be dispatched. The evening's activities included a noise complaint at 10:41 PM about cows "bellering" on County Line Road. Traffic stops for speeding resulted in verbal warnings at State Road 64 and Roehrig Road at 5:50 PM, US 45 and Branch Road at 9:37 PM, and State Road 64 and Highland Road at 10:14 PM. Another stop at US 45 and State Road 47 at 9:05 PM resulted in a verbal warning for a defective headlight. The night concluded with a report of a high-speed pursuit of a dark Dodge Charger reaching speeds of 120-130 mph on US 45, which was terminated after officers lost sight of the vehicle.

September 12, 2025

The morning began with a call at 6:51 AM concerning a fawn that had been hit by a vehicle on State Road 47 and County Road D; a passerby had moved the injured animal off the road. A dump truck driving erratically westbound on State Road 64 was the subject of a traffic complaint at 7:43 AM. At 12:31 PM, a suspicious vehicle was reported parked for several days near a turnoff on County Road A. The afternoon saw a number of 911 hang-up calls, all of which were confirmed as accidental dials. A welfare check was requested at 6:07 PM for a resident on County Line Road after a neighbor had not seen him and noted his cows had been making noise since the previous day; the individual was found to be okay. A lockout assist was provided on Bass Lake Road at 6:57 PM. A property damage accident involving a car and a boat occurred at Antigo Street and Owano Street at 8:20 PM, with no injuries reported. A harassment complaint was filed from Rocky Ripps Road in White Lake at 8:07 PM concerning an ex-girlfriend driving past the residence. A tense situation unfolded at 11:40 PM on Reimer Road when a call came in about a man with a knife making threats; the individual was taken into custody. A traffic stop at 10:07 PM on State Road 64 led to a subject being taken into custody following a field sobriety test. Verbal warnings for speeding were issued during traffic stops at US 45 and Mark Lane at 7:13 PM and County Road S and Gruenberg Road at 7:49 PM. A driver was found to be operating while suspended following a stop at County Road A and County Road S at 8:00 PM.

September 13, 2025

A concerning traffic complaint was received at 10:14 AM regarding a vehicle swerving all over the road on US 45 near Valley Vista Road. The vehicle failed to stop for law enforcement, but the driver was eventually taken into custody. A disorderly conduct incident was reported from a campground on Park Road Road at 12:03 PM, with complaints of individuals yelling at other campers. At 3:29 PM, a civil complaint was filed by a citizen with a roadside produce stand, reporting that a man's dog had attacked one of their free-range chickens. A cat bite was reported from a residence on Pleasant Acres Lane at 3:34 PM. A harassment complaint was received at 9:01 PM from a man who reported being verbally harassed by his male roommate. An automatic crash detection alert was triggered on State Road 52 at 8:00 PM; however, the individual called back to state his phone had fallen off his truck and there was no emergency. Later in the evening, a domestic incident was reported coming from Wausau, with the caller stating her sister was hitting her in a vehicle traveling erratically. A high-speed vehicle was reported on State Road 64 at 10:36 PM, and a subsequent crash detection alert led deputies to a single-vehicle accident on Flak Road at Muraski Road where the driver had fled the scene. The subject was later taken into custody. A verbal warning for speeding was issued during a traffic stop at County Road C and Town Forest Road at 7:22 PM.

September 14, 2025

A domestic assault was reported at 12:59 PM on South Superior Street, leading to a male subject being taken into custody. At 6:13 PM, an anonymous complaint was received about a white Equinox driving erratically and speeding on State Road 64. A dangerous situation was reported at 6:52 PM when a traffic complaint came in about a grey F150 traveling over 100 mph on County Road A. At 7:53 PM, a motorcyclist hit a deer on State Road 52 at Edison Road; the driver was not injured, but the motorcycle required a tow. An accidental 911 pocket dial was received from Pence Lake Road at 7:06 PM. A verbal warning for speed was issued during a traffic stop at 11:19 PM at US 45 and County Road T. Just before midnight, a suspicious, dark-colored Silverado was reported at the White Lake station; a deputy checked the building and found everything to be secure.

September 15, 2025

The early morning hours included a business check on Bissell Street in White Lake at 12:27 AM. At 6:00 AM, a concerned citizen reported a bicyclist with no lights on County Road S, worried they might get hit. A disorderly conduct incident was reported from Harmon Road in White Lake at 7:23 AM. A traffic stop at 8:31 AM on State Road 64 at Stegall Road resulted in a verbal warning for speed. A 911 hang-up call from a deactivated cell phone was received at 2:42 PM from County Road P. A property accident involving a maroon Subaru Outback in a ditch was reported at 5:22 PM from the intersection of County Road B and County Road V. A suspicious older white Chevy pickup was reported in the driveway of a vacant home at 6:34 PM; deputies made contact and learned the individuals were retrieving their grandfather's property before the house was sold. In the evening, traffic stops resulted in a verbal warning for defective trailer lights on State Road 64 at Highland Road at 8:11 PM and a written warning with a correction notice for a defective taillight and no insurance on State Road 64 at Meadow Road at 11:38 PM.

September 16, 2025

The day's activities for the Sheriff's office began with a traffic stop at 3:53 AM at US 45 and County Road T for a registration violation and a verbal warning for speed. At 5:30 AM, deputies responded to a third-party report of disorderly conduct on County Road TT, where a woman was reportedly throwing items inside a home; the parties were separated. A verbal warning for failing to stop at a stop sign was given during a traffic stop at 6:47 AM at the intersection of County Road A and Augustyn Springs Road. A business check was conducted on Bissell Street at 7:38 AM. A single-vehicle property damage accident occurred at 8:11 AM on US 45 at Industrial Park Road, where a car went into a ditch; the male driver was out of the vehicle and walking around. At 9:45 AM, a lockout of a red Silverado was reported on County Road D. A citizen requested civil standby on South Superior Street at 9:33 AM to retrieve some belongings. In the afternoon, at 2:16 PM, deputies assisted a citizen on Antigo Street in Elcho who was concerned about their mother experiencing dementia-related issues; the residence was checked and cleared. A domestic incident was reported at 2:36 PM from East Shore Road, where a boyfriend had allegedly punched and pulled the hair of the caller. The male subject was later located and taken into custody. A car versus deer accident with no injuries was reported at 7:48 PM on US 45 at Huggins Road; the vehicle was not drivable and required a tow. At 8:44 PM, a suspicious white van was seen parked at the end of Mill Lane with its lights off; however, the vehicle was gone on arrival. The night ended with a traffic stop at 10:05 PM at State Road 52 and Burkhart Road, resulting in a verbal warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
