Maverick Hooper has been selected as the Elk Teen of the Month for November 2025 and is now eligible for Teenager of the Year. He is the son of Sarah Hooper and Harry Hooper.
Entering his senior year, Maverick found the importance in improving his own mental health, stepping into the year with a renewed sense of self. He had always maintained strong grades and a positive reputation, and decided to give back by tutoring students who were struggling in various subjects.
Tutoring became a meaningful experience—one that helped Maverick learn how to guide others toward understanding, revisit past material, and make new connections between old lessons and current coursework. It strengthened both his academic foundation, communication skills, as well as transforming his confidence. This opportunity has led to significant academic and personal growth, preparing Maverick for a more successful and fulfilling life beyond high school.
