Emma Leads On and Off the Field

Emma, a high school senior, has embraced leadership and stewardship through both athletics and mentorship. As a varsity softball player, she takes younger teammates under her wing, modeling varsity-level conduct and sportsmanship. “We represent more than just ourselves—we represent our school and our community,” Emma says.

Beyond the game, Emma builds friendships with players from other teams, showing that competition and kindness can go hand-in-hand. “Sports aren't just about winning,” she says. “They're about making connections.”

Emma also volunteers in a local first-grade classroom, where she helps students navigate friendships, learn kindness, and grow in confidence. “They look up to me,” she shares. “And I want to lead by example—just like others did for me.”

Through both softball and her work in schools, Emma continues to grow as a leader and role model, giving back to the community that helped shape her.

Ashleigh Leads with Heart and Purpose

Ashleigh joined the marching band as a freshman with one goal in mind—becoming drum major. Three years later, that dream became a reality. Now a senior, Ashleigh serves as the band’s top leader, guiding students across all sections and helping to unify the group on and off the field.

“Leadership isn’t just about giving commands,” Ashleigh says. “It’s about being a role model and doing what’s right.” From mentoring younger members to stepping in during off-hours to line the field, Ashleigh has embraced both leadership and stewardship with passion.

Whether performing at community events or helping freshmen find their confidence, Ashleigh’s efforts have made a lasting impact. “This role has changed how I see leadership—not just in music, but in life,” she says. And as graduation nears, she’s ready to carry those lessons forward into the future.
