Antigo Elk Teen of the Month Recognition

One male and one female will be selected each month September through April and will then be eligible for the award of Teenager of the Year along with a monetary scholarship - which will be awarded at the annual recognition banquet in May at the Antigo Elks Lodge. All recipients will be recognized at the annual dinner banquet.

Margaret Frances Neufeld was chosen to be recognized as Elk Teen of the Month and is now eligible for Teenager of the Year. She attended Crestwood and Spring Valley Elementary Schools before attending Antigo High School. In high school, she has actively participated in softball, tennis, band, marching band, student council, and yearbook club, where she currently serves as Student Council Executive Board President and co-editor for the yearbook. Margaret ranks 29 out of 179 students with a cumulative GPA of 3.634.

In her personal essay, Margaret highlighted the significant impact the AHS Marching Band has had on her personal growth and leadership skills. Her involvement taught her the values of teamwork, acceptance, dedication, and resilience—qualities she intends to carry forward into her future endeavors. Margaret's hobbies include crocheting, watching movies, reading, shopping, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Luke Benjamin Bastle was chosen to be recognized as Elk Teen of the Month and is now eligible for Teenager of the Year. He attended All Saints Catholic School before attending Antigo High School. He also represents students on the school board.

In his personal essay, Luke emphasized his deep commitment to leadership, stewardship, and respect within his community, school, and sports teams. He believes strongly in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone, demonstrating this by mentoring underclassmen.
