Jeffrey A. Sprague, 74 of Birnamwood, died on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Eastview Health and Rehab, Antigo.
Jeff was born on August 19, 1951, in Antigo, the son of Howard and Eleanor (Marmes) Sprague.
Jeff found great joy in tending his garden and watching it flourish, especially his tomatoes and cucumbers. He had a deep love for animals and enjoyed playing checkers. He would attend local sporting events and faithfully followed the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers, whether listening on the radio or watching the games. Jeff also enjoyed dining out and attending local fairs.
Jeff is survived by his siblings, Pat (Dennis) Knaak and Mike (Marianne) Sprague; six nieces and nephews, Taya (Mark) Lund, Danica (Jason Rice) Knaak, Shara (Jason Van Lanen) Knaak, Kendra (Shane) Larson, Bill (Angie) Sprague and Kelly (Shelby Dewhurst) Behreandt, as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Pastor Jennifer Sosinski will preside. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
