At 2:56 AM, a resident near 5th Avenue and Edison Street reported a noise complaint regarding a loud plow operating in the area. Morning activity included a bank deposit check at Covantage and an animal complaint at 6:40 AM where a citizen found a cat in a carrier and turned it over to police.
Midday saw a property accident reported at 11:04 AM involving a vehicle that had rolled into a ditch; however, no one was found around the vehicle. Officers also responded to a lockout at the hospital (112 E 5th Ave) and a minor rear-end collision at 1:01 PM which was deemed unreportable. The morning shift handled a domestic disturbance at 6:36 AM and a report of criminal damage shortly after. Following an assistance call to another agency and a sexual assault report, officers conducted a welfare check in the afternoon. The department’s day began early with a 911 hang-up call around 7:17 AM from the area of State Rd 64 and Ackley Rd. Dispatchers heard an open line with music in the background, but the vehicle was traveling eastbound and no suspicious activity was located. Later in the morning, at 9:41 AM, deputies responded to a property damage accident at County Rd A and County Rd TT. A vehicle had slid into the ditch; however, the homeowner assisted in pulling the vehicle out, and no damage was reported.
Around midday, deputies handled property cases, including a black wallet lost on Fifth Ave Rd and a report from Badger Rd regarding a possibly stolen bird dog that is microchipped. By 2:00 PM, officers investigated a harassment complaint on Minola St involving disturbing messages and threats sent via messenger; the reporting party was advised to seek a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO).
The evening commute saw deer-related hazards. At 6:57 PM, an accident involving an animal was reported at State Rd 64 and Clover Rd. Shortly after, at 7:24 PM, another collision occurred at County Rd D and County Rd S where a driver struck two deer, leaving one alive in the ditch with plastic debris scattered on the road.

Officers were active overnight, performing a business check on Bissell St at 2:19 AM. As the morning began, a parking complaint came in at 6:16 AM from State Rd 55, where a semi-truck with its lights off was reported blocking gas pumps while running. A traffic stop occurred at 7:58 AM on N Langlade Rd, resulting in a verbal warning for a VW driver who was left of center and failed to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
At 8:29 AM, a welfare check was requested on Noboken Ln after a patient missed a clinic appointment; deputies contacted the subject who was found to be okay (10-2). A major accident occurred early at 5:51 AM at County Rd C and Rosedale Rd. A semi-truck carrying logs collided with a truck, resulting in the semi jackknifing into the ditch. While EMS was declined, the road was covered in debris, and heavy wreckers were required to clear the scene. Later, at 8:08 AM, another wrecker was needed at State Rd 64 and Fish Hatchery Rd for a box truck in the ditch.
Mid-morning saw a traffic stop at Antigo St and County Rd K resulting in a verbal warning for expired registration. At 11:54 AM, an animal complaint on County Rd W involved a horse seen wearing a jacket but lacking shelter; deputies checked and confirmed the animal had a blanket, food, and water.
Afternoon incidents included a vehicle in the ditch west of State Rd 64 at 3:38 PM and a hit-and-run reported at 6:01 PM near US 45 and State Rd 47. A silver Toyota Corolla crossed the centerline and struck the reporting party's truck, though the damage was minor enough that the victim declined a full report. Later that evening, at 9:03 PM, a truck struck a deer at County Rd S and Spring Rd. The night concluded with a slide-in accident at 10:53 PM on Old 26 Rd; the driver was uninjured but unable to pay for a tow, so deputies provided a ride to a residence.
Saturday, December 6
The morning began with a 911 hang-up from County Rd A at 7:32 AM, which turned out to be a 4-year-old playing with the phone. At 9:38 AM, a landlord/tenant dispute was reported on Sunnyside Rd regarding changed locks; the reporting party was advised this was a civil matter. Around 10:53 AM, a grey car was found in the ditch at US 45 and State Rd 47, possibly related to an incident from the previous night.
In the late afternoon, at 5:46 PM on Trillium Ln, an animal bite was reported where a neighbor's dog bit a subject who subsequently sought urgent care. Shortly after, at 6:04 PM, a red Dodge Ram went into the ditch on Chillie Rd; the driver made it home safely.
Evening calls included a complex abuse or neglect complaint at 7:53 PM from Mary Lake Ln, where a caller in Florida reported his son was kicked out of a vehicle on Sawyer Lake Rd due to a behavioral dispute. At 9:40 PM, a red SUV drove off the road into trees at County Rd A and County Rd O, knocking down a stop sign. Sunday, December 7
Deputies responded to a variety of community calls, starting with a 911 hang-up at 12:23 PM on Church St caused by a broken phone. At 2:58 PM, a resident on County Rd T and N Summit Ln requested a tag for a deer that had been hit the previous night, wishing to salvage the meat.
A suspicious situation was reported at 3:32 PM on County Rd A. A caller noted a black Jeep parked near the Neva Town Hall during a "Giving Tree" event with no one around; extra patrols were requested. Later, at 5:12 PM, a blue Subaru struck a deer at US 45 and Branch Rd; the deer was then struck a second time by a Dodge Durango following behind.
The evening included a report of suspicious activity at 7:39 PM on State Rd 52, where a resident was concerned after a vehicle drove the entire length of their loop-around driveway to turn around. At 7:44 PM, an anonymous caller reported a bail jumping violation on US 45 involving a no-contact order.
Monday, December 8
In the early morning hours at 4:59 AM, officers responded to County Rd S and Crestwood Rd to dispatch two deer found dead or injured in the roadway. At 5:44 AM, a property damage accident was reported at Meadow Rd and State Rd 64. A maroon truck was found unoccupied in the ditch. The driver was later contacted and admitted the windows had fogged up, causing them to drive into the ditch and hit a pivot stop around 1:00 AM.
